HDI-GPT internal generative AI assistant (HDI Global)
by HDI Global SE · Primary insurer
Market unit: Global
HDI-GPT is a proprietary generative-AI solution that the industrial insurer HDI Global SE announced in January 2024 for its staff. It extracts insights from unstructured text and image data, helping employees interpret legal contract terms and conditions, summarise lengthy documents and record and assess insurance claims in real time. HDI Global describes it as a co-pilot for augmentation rather than automation, with a human kept in the loop, and stresses the protection of data and business secrets. The company said first benefits could already be identified and further use cases were being explored. No user numbers, metrics or underlying model were published.

NiQA is an AI-driven digital assistant of UNIQA for claims reporting, documented on UNIQA's Hungarian website. It listens to the customer's description, identifies the damage type and fills in the claim form in the background, verifies incoming information in real time, analyses uploaded photos as they arrive and checks submitted documents, alerting users to missing items. It currently covers burst pipes, water damage and broken glass and is being extended to further roles; trade press names Intuitech as technology partner.
