SCOR medical underwriting AI assistants
by SCOR
Market unit: FR, Global
SCOR, the Paris-based reinsurer, has introduced AI assistants for medical underwriting in life and health reinsurance. The assistants summarise medical reports, extract the relevant information and prepare the basis for the underwriter's decision. According to SCOR's Chief Technology, Data and AI Officer (Reinsurance Rendezvous Zurich, June 2026), underwriters first verified every output manually; after about six months the tool delivered 30-40% higher efficiency, more consistent work and faster onboarding of new underwriters.
