CSS uses AI algorithms and AI-based review logic in its benefit-entitlement checking of invoices from basic and supplementary health insurance. The AI prevents duplicate payments for invoices submitted twice, assesses accident-related claims and flags unusually high billing items or quantities; separate data analytics retrospectively identify providers with conspicuously high costs. CSS checked 23.4 million invoices in 2023 and states that over 85% are processed automatically. A data-driven process control introduced in early 2024 removed about 190,000 manual checks within a few months. CSS attributes avoided benefit costs of around CHF 800 million per year partly to AI; in 2025 it checked 25.4 million invoices and prevented about CHF 872 million of unjustified spending (all checking, not AI alone).

AIDA is a B2B voice assistant app launched by Swiss Life France in June 2018 for its mobile sales network of about 400 tied general agents. Built with Quantmetry on Google Cloud (Dialogflow Enterprise Edition, Cloud Speech-to-Text for French, GKE) and connected to the CRM, it lets agents query client data, coverage and life events, marketing scores and next-best-product suggestions, nearby clients and appointments hands-free, and dictate notes. It went from proof of concept to MVP in about three months; during the trial agents used it about ten times a day and reported time savings. No evidence of use after the 2018-2019 reports was found.

Die Mobiliar uses AI mainly in claims handling, where it processes about 800,000 claims per year. Claim reports that were previously filled in and evaluated manually are now processed by AI that extracts all information from the claim notification, automating intake to a high degree and saving time and cost (Netzwoche, October 2023). Mobiliar also cited AI in its online claim intake in September 2023, and a BATbern talk covered claims classification with AI and MLOps at Mobiliar. The previously recorded photo-based damage estimation, its volumes and time savings could not be verified in any source. No vendor, model or performance metrics are published.

Vaudoise Assurances is reported to use robotic process automation combined with text classification to sort incoming correspondence and route it to the right department. Unverified: the original source page no longer exists, and Vaudoise's own 2023 article only mentions a claims-automation project and research on claims segmentation and fraud. Vendor, volumes, time savings and go-live date previously shown were not supported by any source and were removed in the review of 12 October 2026.
